Mennen Medical has completed the integration of 6 intra-cardiac ECG (IECG) into its Horizon SE hemodynamic monitoring system. This feature expands the Horizon SE performance beyond the standard definition of physiomonitoring system by allowing basic electrophysiogy studies to be performed in the standard cardiac catheterization lab. The IECG can be utilized in parallel with coronary diagnostic examinations and is particularly useful for ICD implantation as well as basic VT studies. The direct benefit for hospital comes from minimizing equipment clutter in the procedure room as well as eliminating the need to purchase a additional dedicated system.
